GUIDELINES & RULES

  • This year we are accepting only Standard Definition footage to make things equal.
  • Maximum length of your entry is 5 minutes of film time. You are allowed an extra 30 seconds only for intro and end credits making a total length of 5minutes 30 seconds.
  • Your equipment should be able to record a PAL or NTSC image using MiniDV or better.
  • Submissions to be delivered on miniDV tape in ether PAL or NTSC format. Maximum Quality.
  • ALL entries must have all the necessary copyright clearance for music, etc. This is the responsibility of the producer to obtain prior to entering the competition and written proof must be shown. Visual Pixels or ATBJunkies takes no responsibility for any breaches of copyright.
  • ALL entries must NOT have or been broadcast or released on DVD before its first public showing at the film festival. Broadcasting will mean any form of public viewing, i.e. You tube, DVD, MySpace, Facebook, etc. Public viewing is seen as gaining an unfair advantage by promoting your film.
  • Accreditation of the festival i.e. “Made for ATBJunkies’ International Mountainboard Film Festival 2009” to be included in the end credits.
  • You are not permitted to include: any swear words (must be bleeped), sexual acts (including mimicking), suffering or character abuse, bullying, etc.
  • All entries must be in English or have English subtitles.
  • No blatant branding, product placement, logos or promoting of manufacturing companies.
  • All films must reach us by 5pm on the closing deadline.
  • Deadline for submissions is October 1st 2009
  • Each film must show the spirit of the sport.
