Film Fest - Brief & Catorgries

THE BRIEF

Pick one of the categories to enter and produce a short 5 minute film based round the sport of mountainboarding, with the theme “The Ride”.

Use any kind video recording device you like, and any software or hardware to edit your film and ensure your film meets all the criteria and rules for the competition.

We recommend you use the MiniDV format to ensure you get the minimum picture quality required to be projected onto a screen.

Then using the entry form (use the link below), submit your film to the address supplied. It’s that easy.

You can enter as many films as you like in any category to increase your chances of winning.

HOW TO ENTER
First pick how you are going to enter and then which category you’re going to enter.

Individual:
The chance for an individual to shine as a filmmaker.

Group or Club:
Thinking of big ideas for your film, then you need some team work.

Chic Flic:
One for the girls - Made by girls, with girls, for girls. NOT FOR BOYS.

CATEGORIES

Rider Profile:
In this section filmmakers are required to produce a film about an individual mountainboarder. This includes filming interviews with the rider.

Promotional Flic:
The sport needs promoting and your sport needs you. This is your chance to do your bit. How do you sell the sport to someone who’s never seen it or taken part?

Comedy:
Everyone enjoys a good chuckle, so make us laugh, but it still has to be based round mountainboarding.

Horror:
Scare us, make us jump, make us wee our pants. It’s blood and gore time and once again keep it based around the sport of mountainboarding. The rest is up to you.
